President Bashar Al-Assad received at people’s
palace on Sunday the two US Congress members, Nick
Rahal and Darrell Issa.
Talks during the meeting dealt with developments
of the Iraqi situation and its repercussions on
the region as well as Syrian-American relations.
President Al-Assad asserted Syria’s care on
Iraq’s history, civilization, unity, and
territorial integrity.
